Sleeping Again in the Melody of "Only Time"
the roads--overcast
tunnels to anonymity
between my fingers
the photographer composes me
while hungry wolves are watching
thrilled to lick my bone
they kneel in front of me
eating my flesh
piece by piece
and the pain feels good
drifting
the shadows intertwine
and then a thunderbolt
scared the lovebirds
from their nest
rain started pouring
against me
suffusing my bleeding body
they are pleased
and left me
dreaming
